A Creole-Native American artist based in Oklahoma, DeShawn II has always had a fervent interest in things that go beyond the surface. His curiosity explores the realms of science, art, nature, spirituality, diverse cultures, and traditions. Since a very young age drawing has been one of his hobbies—What started as creating comics to pass the time in class, has expanded into communicating stories through painting and mixed media. He uses a spontaneous approach to creating, not overthinking the early stages. When painting, DeShawn may use a variety of mediums, including but not limited to acrylic, oil, and pastels. His work is inspired by life’s many experiences as well as his dreams.As DeShawn continues his growing journey, he strives to blend his creative endeavors into all aspects of his life and entrepreneurial pursuits.
